Marrion Tippett, formerly of Tallapossa county, but now living in the Pan
Handle in Texas, is visiting relatives and friends in this state. Mr.
Tippet is the brother of our former sheriff, T. J. Tippett." (2)

Mr. T. J. Tippet and family moved to Whigham, Ga. today. He had a sale
last Tuesday and disposed of practically all his effects and will make
South Ga. his future home. Mr. Tippet has been a citizen of the town for
a number of years, and President of the Coosa County Bank and will be
missed by many of the citizenship of the town and county." (3)

Location of Butler Cemetery Thomas and Lula Tippet are buried: When
traveling into Whigham, GA from Climax/Bainbridge, take a right at the
Whigham's city limit sign. This is the Attapulgus/Whigham Road. Go
straight for approximately four miles. Cemetery is on the left side of
the road. If one travels too far, he/she will end up on Tired Creek Road.
