Joseph A. Sears ( b. May 10 - 1873 in ? d. June 28 - 1913 in Salem,
Fulton Co Ark. after horse back riding accident) known siblings were
Anna, died in Okla. near Sulpher, John, died in Asher Okla. Susie or
Susan, and Frank. Joseph married Mintie Mae Smith,( B. Feb. 6, 1879 - d.
Nov. 16, 1912 in Salem, Fulton Co. Ark. of Typhoid). Her parents also
lived in Fulton Co. She had a brother Jim, 1/2 sisters and brothers were,
Mary; aschool teacher, Sylvia, Sarah, Noah and Reese, also an uncle Reese
Smith. Joseph and Mintie had 11 children; Lester, ( twins) John Noah,
George Owen, Elsie V. ( my Grandmother), Flora, Omer, Anne, M. Ella,
Ernest, Emma, and Jessye. After death of Joseph the 7 youngest children
went to Oddfellows Orphanage in Batesville Ar., all moved to Okla. as
young adults. Fulton Co. Federal Land Records show Joseph A. in township
21 N. Other Sears, Thomas G., Elizabeth, and Frank were in Township 19
N.(connection?).
‌Mintie Mae and Joseph Albert were married in a religious ceremony on August 16th, 1893 in Fulton Co., AR.1 They had five sons and six daughters, named Lester F., John Noah, George Owen, Omer L., Ernest A., Elsie Victoria, Flora M., Anne Merle, M. Ella, Emma Jo and Jessye.
