MORGAN-Mrs. Thomas I. Morgan of Vernledge was stricken with paralysis
while near the road side at her home. She was able to get to her yard,
but her husband seeing her falling condition went to assist her into the
house. She did not lose consciousness at once but never recovered from
the paralytic stroke and passed away about 10 o'clock that night.
Deceased was a daughter of the late D. A. Rutledge and had lived her
entire life at her present home except a few years spent in Luverne. She
had been a member of the Methodist church since early childhood. She left
surviving her husband, Thomas I. Morgan and one daughter Rachel and two
small boys, Claude and Thomas Morgan. Her remains were brought to the
Methodist church in Luverne Tuesday where the funeral services were
preformed under Rev. R. P. Cochran assisted by the Rev. D. P. Lee.
Internment was held at Emmaus Cemetery.(1)
