Funeral Held Sunday For John Redmond
Funeral services were held Sunday for John W. Redmond age 73 who died
Saturday in a local hospital. Rev. Gene McIntosh officiated at the
services held at Anitoch Church of Christ in Shellhorn. Burial was in the
church cemetery with McGehee Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Hautie Rushing Redmond: two step-sons,
Pursur Powell, Troy and Willie Powell, Montgomery: four grandchildren and
13 great-grandchildren: three sisters, Mrs. B. W. Reames, Pride, La.:
Mrs. Mae Bell Belote? And Mrs. Norene Turner, both of Troy: a brother,
William Redmond, Augusta, Ga.
Active pallbearers were Mitchell Rushing, Jepp Motes, Vernon Craft,
Windley Tatom, E. W. Thomas, Luther Chancy.
