By deed dated 23 April 1816 and recorded 3 May 1816, John Motley acquired
from Rob't Ball and wife, Anne, 116 acres of Shinhouse tract in Green
County, KY DB 7, p. 267
John, Jr. and Mary Williams were married in a religious ceremony on December 25th, 1798 in Amelia Co., VA.1 They had a daughter named Elizabeth Elmore.

Kathleen Booth Williams, it has on page 79 of her book Mary listed as
Polly Williams Elmore, dau. of Thomas Elmore. Surety Parham Booker.
