WILL OF JAMES MEADORS
In the Name of God Amen I James Meadors of South Carolina and
Laurens District being of perfect mind and Memory make this my Last will
and Testament--first it is my Desire to be buried on my own Plantation at
the Descretion of my Executrix hereafter to be named - and with Regard to
my Estate - I give and bequeath to my wife Susanah Meadors that part of
my Lands where I now Live the Line begining between or near the Medle of
the two Settlements that is my own house and my son Reubins on John
Hannans line and runs between the said Settlements until it Stricks the
[a word omitted] on James Ramages land my negroes Lucy Neptune Jack Dick
& Beney with Increase I give together all the rest of my personal or
moveable Estate to my wife Susanah [during] her Life the part of land
that[t?-torn] where my son Reubin Meadors Lives I give to him and the
part where I now Live at the Death of my Wife I give and Bequeath also to
my son Reubin Meadors and at the Death of my Wife - my will is that all
the Esate personal or moveable of whatsoever kind it is except the Land
which is above given to my son Reubin be and shall be Equilly divided
between Jason John & Reubin Meadors and I apoint my Wife Susanah Meadors
Sole Executrix of this my Last will and Testament and I hereby utterly
revoke Disavow and Disonul all former bequests wills and Legisyes by me
heretofore in any wise or[?] made Declaring Ratifying and confirming
this and no other to be my last will and Testament in witness wehreof I
have hereunto set my hand and
seal this Twenty eighth Day of September in the year of our Lord one
thousand and Eight hundred and three

in presents of us who have Subscribed our names in presents

Personally appeared before me one of the Justices of Quorum of said
District John A. Elmore, Reubin Jordan and Polly Saxon who being duly
sworn as the Law directs, deposeth and saith, that they saw John A.
Elmore one of the above witnesses signe the within will as an evidence
there to in the presence of them and the testator, and that they signed
the said will as witnesses in the presence of each other and the
testator, and that they saw the testator James Meadors sign seal publish
and declare the within will to be his last will and testament and that
they know of no other existing will or testament but the within as
witness their hands and seals
