Wasn't Elizabeth the 2nd wife of Thomas? The Mecklenburg County Will
Abstracts show Thomas describing Elizabeth as the step mother of Eleanor
who was the fifth child while Alexander was the second child. I am basing
the placement of children by the position in the will. This would seem to
indicate the mother of at least the first five children was different
from Elizabeth. Betty Beard
Elizabeth was married to a Mer Woodside before she married Thomas McEwen.
Elizabeth and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony in 1766 in Rowan Co. N.C..1 They had a son and two daughters, named Thomas, Jr., Frances and Ruth.
