I am not related to the Sharbutts at all other than the fact that James
William Sharbutt's daughter, Volva Mae Sharbutt married my Uncle Charley
E. Clinger and then she later married a Unknown King. It is my
understanding that Volva is buried in El Paso, Tx at Evergreen East
Cemetery with my Uncle and their daughter, Charlsie. I was trying to
find out where Volva was born and more about her family for my Clinger
Family Genealogy.... I know that this information is correct on James
William Sharbutt because the obituary from the United Methodist Archives
and also I have the obituaries on him and his wife from De Leon, Tx. To
much of this all fits with the information you have such as his brother,
John of Luders, Tx. and the parents. Did you read my response I sent
yesterday to your inquiry on the Message Board???? I think I looked
under State of Alabama in search of James William Sharbutt and several
names alike came up.....Been some time ago and now I will look again...I
do think this is the person you are looking for.....in Hill and Molly

‌Charley Edgar and Viola Mae were married in a religious ceremony on November 2nd, 1937 in Winters, Runnels Co. TX.1 They had a daughter named Living.
