Newton Greenberry Carroll was the son of John A. and Synthia Carroll
(1870 Coosa Census, page 398; 1880 Coosa Census, E.D 53, Sheet 22, Line
2). Synthia's maiden name was Jacinthia Little, d/o Joseph J. R. Little
and Jacinthia Clementia Colley. Joseph J. R. Little's parents were Rev.
Enoch and Priscilla Little of Perry Co., AL. Rev. Enoch born ca. 1776 in
GA. Jacinthia Colley Little is buried in Salem Cemetery in Coosa Co.
Newton Greenberry and Edith Emaline were married in a religious ceremony in AL.1 They had two daughters named Leila V. and Lovedy.
