‌William Marshall Earl of and Elizabeth De Clare Countess of were married in a religious ceremony in 1189.  They had five sons and five daughters, named William Marshal V Earl of, Richard Marshal VI Earl of, Gilbert Marshal VII Earl of, Anselm Marshal IX Earl of, Walter Marshal IV Earl of, Maud, Isabel, Sibyl, Joan and Eve.
