William, had the manor of Toddington, Glos, made over to him by his brother, also lands there in exchange for Burton Dassett, Warwicks, c1129-48; presented the manor of Thaneworth, another gift of his brother, to the Abbey of Gloucester; held one knight's fee of his brother 1166; had [Henry], with a younger son (Alard, Rector of Toddington).  [Burke's Peerage]

William adopted his mother's name of de Traci, and was ancestor of the Tracys of Toddington and Stanway, co Gloucester, the late Viscounts Tracys, of Rathcoole, and of the present Lord Sudeley, of Toddington.
