Moving to Toulouse, he follows the Roda material, showing Raymond III Pons and Garsende as parents of a Count Raymond (IV), who died about 975, and who by a wife named Guidinilde in turn had Raymond (V) and Hugh, Bishop of Toulouse. (a codicil to one of Garsende's grants names three 'nepotes', one of whom was Raymond son of Guidinilde, who is interpreted as Garsende's grandson). It is this last Raymond who is identified with the husband of Adela of Anjou, and father of William Taillefer, Count of Toulouse, and of Adelaide, wife of Lambert of Chalon (this latter connection is not discussed in the text).
