Philip de Prendergast; of age by 1206; married Maude, daughter and heir of Robert de Quincy, through whom he acquired the town of Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, and the Constableship of Leinster, and died 1226, leaving [William, 2nd son], with an eldest son (Gerald, founder of Enniscorthy Abbey, married 1st Matilda, daughter of Theobald le Botiller/Butler, and had a daughter Maria (married John de Cogan (died 1278), of Bampton, Devon), married 2nd Matilda, daughter of Richard de Burgo/Burgh and sister of the Earl of Ulster, and died 1251, having by her had a daughter Matilda (married Maurice de Rochfort) and a youngest son (David).
