There are three different ancestries given for Joan in World Connect, and so far I don't have any published sources to help select which one is most likely. They are:
1. Hugh de Neville & Joan Hever. While most sources give this, they indicate a birth of 1177-1185 for Joan and a birth of c1151 for Hugh. I think this is too early a birth for the Joan that married John de Cobham.
2. Hugh de Neville & Joan de Cornhill. I already have this Joan in my ancestry. The birth date is right (bef. 1224), but she married a John/Walter de la Lynde and she was not from Grimthorpe, which nearly all people claim she was from. Although I don't necessarily believe that she was from Grimthorpe Yorkshire, since the ancestors of the Barons Greystoke held Grimpthorpe during this time.
3. Hugh de Neville & Margaret de Furnival. This lineage is contained in Burke's Peerage (with the exception of Joan and her marriage to John de Cobham). By default, I choose it over the others--at least until a proven lineage surfaces.
