Sir Edmund Mortimer, although he did not succeed to the earldom, was summoned to parliament as Lord Mortimer, 20 November, 1331. His lordship m. Elizabeth, one of the daus. and at length co-heirs of Bartholomew (called the Rich), Lord Badlesmere, of Leeds Castle, in Kent, by whom (who m., after his decease, William de Bohun, Earl of Northampton) he had an only surviving son, his successor in 1331, Roger Mortimer.
