General Notes

Was confirmed on 7 or 8 November 1660 by the Archbishop
(prince-évoque) of Basle, Mgr. Jean-Conrad de Roggenbach,
together with her children Benoit and Jean. Three other
children, Pierre, Barbara and Augustin were confirmed in 1670 in
Foussemagne. Another child, also named Pierre, was baptised in
Dannemarie on 5 March 1659. Two other children, twins, said to
be her last, Marguerite and Pierre, were baptised in Traubach on
15 July 1660.

Presumably the children listed in the census of 1659 were
Benoit, Jean, Barbara and Augustin. It is possible that the
first child Pierre died in infancy, as the name was then re-used
for the next male.
