Godfrey, of Louvain, or in Anglo-Norman French "de Lovaine", custodian of his half-brother Duke Henry I of Brabant's lands in England (chiefly the Castle and Honour of Eye in Suffolk), which came to the latter (Henry) by his wife; joined the Baronial party opposed to King John. [Burke's Peerage]
