General Notes

Erik, having disposed of Sigrid, took for a second wife Oda, the daughter of Jarl Hakan of Norway.  Later, we are told, Erik married Gunnhild, a daughter of Mieszko of Poland, and a sister to Boleslav I, Poland's first king.  Most historians express som uncertainty about Erik's other wives, but Lagerkvist assures us that there is no doubt about Erik's marriage to Gunnhild.   [Royal Families of Medieval Scandinavia, Flanders, & Kiev]
