William Giffard 
William was born about 1038 in Longueville, Normandy, France. William's father was Walter "The Elder" Giffard , Lord and his mother was Agnes Ermentrude Fleitel. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Walter, Hugh, Rohese, Adelaide, Isabella Constance Catherine and Lora. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
