From "Immigrant Ancestors of Orson Sperry Davenport" by Duane
Josephson. His sources: "A Gen. Dict. of First Settlers of New Eng." by James Savage; "New Eng. Marriages Prior to 1700" by C. A. Torrey; "Hist. and Gen. of Families of Old Fairfield" by D. L. Jacobus. It says, from Savage, that he "... had been at New Haven 1642 and it is unknown when he removed to Fairfield but there he died about 1658, his inventory being of 11 Sep 1658 leaving Thomas, three daughters and widow Mary." His family group sheet shows names of the three daughters but doesn't indicate where they were obtained except that daughter Mary is established by being named in the will of her stepfather, Daniel Finch, who Torrey says married Thomas' widow, Mary. Perhaps his will names the other daughters.
