He [Robert Hastang[ married, before 24 April 1300, Emma, daughter and heir of Sir Robert DE CLESEBY, of Cleasby, co. York, by Amabel, apparently daughter and heir of John DE BEREFORD [BARFORTH]. On 5 October 1314 Amabel de Cleseby, Robert de Hastang and Emma his wife had a grant of free warren in Cleasby, Clowbeck, Barforth-on-Tees, Thorpe, Tanfield and Cowton, co. York; in Newbold, Badenhall, Eccleshall and Cowley, co. Stafford; and in Cowpen, Northumberland. He died s.p., before 15 April 1336, when any hereditary Barony which maybe supposed to have been created by the writ of 1311 became extinct. His widow married, 2ndly, before 25 November 1337, Sir Henry FITZHUGH, of Ravensworth (LORD FlTZHUGH), and died s.p., before 13 October 1348. He died in 1356. Stafford, and Cowton in Richmondshire, sometime Keeper of Kingston-upon-Hull [LORD HASTANG], who died before 15 April 1336. She died s.p. before 13 October 1348. He died at Ravensworth in 1356.
