He [Warin de Munchensy] married, 2ndly, between November 1234 and June 1235, Denise, widow of Walter LANGTON, of Langton, Lincs, and Ridgwell, Essex (d. 1234), and daughter and heir of Nicholas DE ANESTY, of Ansty and Little Hormead, Herts, probably by a sister of Hamond PECCHE. He died about 20 July 1255. On 1 August order was made for assignment of dower to his widow, and her marriage granted to Guy de Rochfort. In February 1257 she fined 200 marks to marry whom she would, and married, before Michaelmas 1260, Robert (or Richard) BUTYLLER, who was living in 1266, but appears to have been dead in the autumn of 1272, when Denise alone was party to a fine. She founded an abbey of Minoresses at Waterbeach, Cambs. She died 1304. [Complete Peerage IX:421-2, XIV:493, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]
