She died prior to 1850, as she is not listed in the household of Ralph
LeMaster in the 1850 Chambers Co, Alabama census. Her father (or mother)
may have been Halon Reason, as this Halon Reason was the only Reason
listed in 1790 Census o f Spartanburg Co, South Carolina where Temperance
Reason was born about 1790. More research needs to be done on this line,
if possible. I found in some plac es where the name Reason may have
originated from the French? version Raison. T he LeMaster's (LeMaistre)
more than likely were French.[LeMaster1.ged]
Temperance (Reason) LeMaster was not present in the household of Ralph
LeMaster ,Jr. in the 1850 Chambers County, Ala. Census.
Temperance and Jr. LeMaster were married in a religious ceremony about 1812 in Spartenburg, SC.1 They had a son and two daughters, named Richard, Lucinda and Elizabeth.
