Latest information is that John & Sarah LeMaistre were located on an
island named Jersey (Ste. Marie's Parish, Isle of Jersey which is off the
coast of France. 
Recent discovery of deposition in the Charles Co. MD Court and land
records, liber H Page 415, where Abraham states he was born in Old Jersey
(Isle of Jersey) St Mary's Parish and his parents were John And Sarah
Lemaistre.  This was dated 1720 when he was 81 years old.  Apparently
from all indications he was not married when he came to this country, and
Abraham  came as an indentured person, and was given land after 6-7
years. Abraham prospered and eventually owened a planatation in Md which
was named "Betty's Delight".
