Franks: Chrodechildis, or Clotild in modern French; a
CatholicChristian,
daughter of a former Burgundian king. Her family members were
notChristians.
They were Arians, who did not believe in the equality of persons in
theTrinity.
She probably was responsible for pushing Clovis into becoming aChristian.
The Church of the Holy Apostles--where Clotild, Clovis and
theirdaughter
were buried--was later named after St. Genevieve, who also was
buriedthere.

Clovis.Canonized
after her death.Clotilda was responsible for the conversion of herhusband
to Christianity. After he died in 511 she entered a monastery atTours.
She was canonized a few years after her death. Her remains wereburied in
the Church of Saint Genevive in Paris. Her tradition al feastday is June
3.
