Earl Thomas Mar 
Thomas was born about 1330 in Mar,Aberdeenshire,Scotland.1 He had a sister named Margaret. He was the older of the two children. He died before June 21st, 1374 in (dsp).1 General Notes
Thomas, 9th Earl of Mar; following his paternal grandmother's death, he called himself Lord of Garioch, the lands of which he was granted by royal charter 27 Jan 1356/7; Great Chamberlain of Scotland 1358 and 1359; nevertheless pledged allegiance to Edward III of England; his Castle of Kildrummy accordingly seized by David I King of Scots and held by the latter till at least 1364. Thomas and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony about 1353 in 2nd husband (divorced by Feb 1358/9).1
