Maria Leocádia Da Conceição's father was Antônio Pais De Bulhões and her mother was Ana De Araújo Pereira.  Her paternal grandparents were Manuel Da Costa Vieira and Maria De Araújo Pais De Bulhões; her maternal grandparents were Tomaz De Araújo Pereira I and Maria Da Conceição Mendonça. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Cosme Pereira Da, Bartolomeu Da Costa, Gregório Pais De, Clara Maria Dos Reis, Cecília Do Nascimento, Ana De, Antonia Vieira Da, Joana Pais De, Isabel Ferreira De and Teresa De Jesus Maria.

They had three sons and three daughters, named José De Medeiros, Francisco José De, Martinho De Medeiros, Luzia Maria De Jesus, Isabel Maria Da Conceição and Teresa Maria De Jesus.
