According to Nita Porter Baldwin, Sallie and Gray married somewhere out in the country, at a Mr. Cox's house, in Pontotoc County. The WPA Record of Marriages Before 1926 indicate that they were married in 1916 by Rev. H. B. Rodgers in Choctaw County, the next county south of Pontotoc County.
