John drowned in the Little Miami River, Clermont Co OH between 1820/21. His b ody was never recovered. He was a shoemaker The Elsberrys were Patriots and J ohn's wife Pamelia Mill HUSBANDS family were Tories The HUSBANDS disapproved of the marriage mostly because of John's trade John and Pamelia had 10 children .
