‌Walter and Martha were married in a religious ceremony on June 26th, 1766 in Of NC.¹   They had five sons and four daughters, and also a child of unknown gender, named Hardy, Henry, John, Lewis, Mark, Celia, Patience, Silvia, Tamar and Pitts.
