‌Joseph and Harriet M. were married in a religious ceremony on August 27th, 1882 in Richwoods, Washington, Missouri.¹   They had six sons and four daughters, named Edward Henry, Joseph Daniel, Thomas Ralph, Augustus E., Living, Living, Sarah Ann, Lillian J., Gertrude E. and Ida Frances.
