  About 1906, when Nancy Jane was about 13, Mary left Bill Maxwell taking
  with her Nancy Jane (Grannie).
  Sometime soon thereafter she contacted Bill Maxwell to have him come and
  get Nancy Jane to stay with him as she did not want to have her with her
  or Nancy Jane wanted to be with her father...???. This information per my
  telephone conversation with Kathryn Maxwell Reatherford on February 18,
  1996.
