Note: Note: Chief Justiciar of England. Joined the barons in their struggleagainst Henry III and received various offices, becoming ChiefJusticiar in 1260. Lost this office in 1261, but was restored in1263. Fought in Barons' War and was killed at Evesham in 1265.COLUMBIA ENCYCLOPAEDIA.
