TITLE: Gallo-Roman Senator
NOTE:
[De La Pole.FTW]
Sources: Kraentzler 1635, 1636; Pfafman; Collins; AF.
K: Ansebert, Seneteur, Gouvernor de Gaule-Belgique.
AF: Ausbert of Moselle, about 506-570.
Collins: Ansbertus (Ausber or Vanbertus), Lord on the Moselle, Margrave on
the Schelde. Died 570. Smallwood says 601.
Collins says Ansebert was the son of Hugopert and Lucilla. Anyway
Lucilla/Lucille seems to be the mother, since she seems to have married one of
the brothers. But...Pfafman says Ausbert (Ansbertus), died 570, was the son of
Ferreleous Tontantius, Duke of Moselle and Margrave of the Schelde (RIN 10849).
And a chart from Marty Hirons says Ansebert (Ansebertus) was the son of
Totntus (brother of Rubricius, Bishop of Uzes), who was the son of Totanius
Ferreolus (Consul in 453; at Rome in 469 and 475; friend and relative of
Sidonius Appollinaris), son of a daughter of Syagrius (Gallo-Roman consul in
381) and Ferreolus. She lists no sources.
