‌Samuel Abijah and Mary were married in a religious ceremony in June 1877 in Sullivan County, TN.  They had eight daughters, and also a child of unknown gender named Florence, Addie, Alice, Cora, Ela, Fanny, Minnie, Verlie and Pat.
