Maxel Hardy was born on November 22nd, 1880 in Center Ridge, Conway County, Arkansas.1 Maxel Hardy's father was Robert Maxwell Newberry and his mother was Cassandra May Dickins. His maternal grandparents were Uriah Dickins and Susannah May. He had three brothers and four sisters, named George Earl, Ollie, Robert B, Luella, Josephine, Tennessee Alabama and Sarah. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 79 on May 20th, 1960 in Oakdale, Stanislaus County, California.1 General Notes
