From an unnamed and undated obituary: 'Herman R. Hutchison, 15-13t h SE,
died at St. Joseph's
Hospital at 12:48 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25. Services will be held at 2 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 27, at Fry &
Gibbs Funeral Home Chape l with the Rev. John Peel officiating. Burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7
p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funera l home. Mr. Hutchison was born Aug.
29, 1900, in Milton, a son of W.A. and Ed na Denison Hutchison. He
attended Paris schools and
was a 1918 graduate of P aris High School. He attended the University of
Texas. He was a veteran of
W orld War I. He married Margaret Nix on June 3, 1923. He was a member of
the F irst United Methodist
Church, its Builders Class and the Methodist Men. He was also a former
member of the Paris Lions Club
and of the Gordon Country Club . He operated a service station here for a
number of years and later
worked for Swaim Hardware until retiring in 1977. Surviving are his wife;
one daught er, Mrs. Leslie
(Virginia) Nichols of Borger; one son, Robert A. Hutchison of Crans,
Switzerland; six grandchildren; two
sisters, Mary Bedford of Paris an d Hazel Adams of Paris; two brothers,
J.R. Hutchison and Philip
