  Notes: THE PARIS NEWS Thu., Dec. 29, 1988. 'T.L. (Leonard) Higgins , 81,
  410-18th SW, died at 5:14 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at McCuistion Medica l
  Center. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 3:30
  p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Evergreen Cemetery. Dr. A.B. White will
  officiate. M r. Higgins was born Sep. 30, 1907, in Waynesboro, TN, a son
  of J.W. and Cora Barber Higgins. He attended Paris schools, Paris Junior
  College and East Texa s State University. He married Juanita Nix on March
  23, 1930, in Hugo, OK. He retired in 1972 after 42 years of teaching at
  Bonham High School and Paris H igh School. He was a member of the Texas
  State Teachers Association and of th e Classroom Teachers Association. He
  was a member of the First United Methodi st Church of Bonham. Surviving
  are his wife; two sisters, Pearl Brown of Fort Worth and Bessie Hill of
  Paris; one sister-in-law, Mrs. W.L. Higgins of Pari s; and seven nieces
  and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Higgins, in
