Obituary: HARRIS Mamie Mae (Brown), daughter of Thomas Jefferson & Ol lie
Estel (Bishop) Brown, passed away Nov. 12, 1995. She was born Feb. 5,
1 898 in a two room log cabin, 2 1/2 miles north of Earlsboro in Indian
Territo ry. Mamie's dad was shot and killed while working in his field by
a rider pas sing by, when she was 3 months old. Mother Ollie, sister
Myrtle & Mom then li ved with her grandparents until her mother married
John Anderson who had 3 ch ildren. They then had 8 children together. On
Aug. 22, 1920, Mamie married Lu ther Robert Harris, and they had
