Alias:<ALIA> Dragomir the /pagan/
Also known as Dragomir. A Pagan she had the grandmother St. Ludmilla who
had been raising Stara Boleslav, prince-duke of bohemia, martyr and
patron saint of Czechoslovakia murdered and then acted as regent herself.
His younger brother Boleslav waylaid St. Wenceslas (Stara Boleslav) on
the way to Mass and murdered him at the church door. His virtues are sung
in the 19th century Christmas carol "good King Wenceslas" and September
28 is his feast day. His remains were transferrred to the Church of St.
Vitus, Prague in 932 which became a great pilgramage site during the
medieval period.
