Somerset planter. Will probated 28 Jun 1718. Huguenot from France. I,
Juelin Mezick of Somerset county being in good health of body and of
sound and perfect memory praise to Almighty God do make and ordain this
last will and testament. I commend my soul to God and my body to the
earth. I will that my debts and funeral charges shall be paid and
discharged. I give to loving wife Priscilla my horse plow and harrow as
a legacie to her. I give to wife Priscilla 4 heifers (1 brindled heifer
and 3 pyed) with their increase. I give to wife Priscilla 2 feather beds
with their furniture. I give to eldest son Nehemiah the trundle bed and
bedstead with the rest of the furniture. I give to eldest son Nehemiah
the largest pewter dish belonging to my estate. I give to wife Priscilla
1 large iron pott containing ten gallons. I give to 3 sons John, Jacob,
and Joshua 1 shilling each and no more. All the rest of my personal
estate, goods, and chattels I give to be equally divided between my 6
kids, Joseph, Isaac, Benjamin, Juslin, Sarah, and Mary. It is my will if
my wife be disposed to part with any of her kids, that she dispose of my
son Isaac to my loving brother Roger Nicholson to live with him until he
is 18. If Priscilla remains widow, the boys Joseph, Isaac, Benjamin, and
Juslin remain with her until 21 but if she married that they be freed at
