Narrative

Deborah Tripp, daughter of Abial, sold land to Joseph Griffiths on 2 Apr 1802 (bk3p435). Witnesses were Benjamin Wells, Joseph Walker. On 22 Jan 1809 she sold 40 acres to Alexander Kennedy for $520. This was witnessed by Benjamin Tripp and Benjamin Wright. On June 1785, she had sold 33 acres to Enoch Place Jr. and his wife Ruth (bk2p77).

Deborah Tripp died intestate and administration was asked of the probate court on 18 Mar 1816 (bk IIIp204). Her inventory included a case of drawers, looking glass, notes against Benjamin Wright, Peleg Place, Alexander Kennedy, 1 loom, 3 trays and churn, 3 chairs, quill wheel, 3 old weavers slays, (1-44, 1-36, 1-24 - probably the sizes), wool and linen spinning wheels, table, baking kettle, iron pot, white plates, drinking glasses, clothes, 1 white cloak, 1 bonnet, (and more), woman's saddle. Samuel Place who had married Marcy daughter of Benjamin, said he had set out for appraisers that did the inventory, all in his possession except what she gave him and his family in her lifetime. Her total value $502.44.
