Notes for ANN:
C.P. Stevens stated in the "Stevens Family of Fairfield County, Ct." 'His (Thomas) wife's name was Ann. She married 2nd after 17 June 1660 (probably about 1670) a man named Holmes and was called 'widow Homs' 29 Dec. 1686." Thomas' will dated August 18, 1658 had the County Court at Fairfield appoint Obadiah Stevens "ye eldest son" administrator, Mar. 14, 1670-71. In the opinion of the writer, C.P. Stevens, the delay of about 12-1/2 years in the estate settlement indicated that the widow had married another man (Holmes) and according to the terms of the will, this made necessary the settlement and division of the estate.
