  !Newell Ancestry, is first found of record Jun 7,1636, when he was plaintiff in
  a lawsuit in Plymouth Court. He had a grant of ten acres in Duxbury, Ma., in
  1637. On Dec 26,1651, he bought land in Taunton, Ma., and removed there. In
  that town he served as Selectman and Representative to the General Court.
  During King Philip's War, in Jun 1675, he was killed by the Indians, and his
  house was burned;
