John Harms

John was born in 1833 in Neversink, Sullivan, NY.¹   John's father was Jacob A Harms and his mother was Mary Polly Sheeley.  His paternal grandparents were Jacob Harms and Margaret Lomax. He had a brother and three sisters, named Amos G, Nancy H, Lucy A and Ruth A.  He was the oldest of the five children.
