Fighting Kings of Wessex @ son of Cynric (acc to A-S Chronicles) but Baker disputes this
based on archaeological evidence (that Wessex conquered from
the N, not the S as the A-S Chronicle tells it).  Ergo, Ceawlin
was either a Mercian or a Middle Angle.
