RUBY PITTS

Newberry - Services for Ruby Boland Pitts, 79, will be held at 2 p.m.
today at McSwain-Evans Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in Holy
Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the
funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Pitts died Monday, September 13, at Laurens County Hospital. Born
in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Jacob Franklin and
ella Viola Long Boland. She was a retired receptionist for Drs. Allen
and Irvin in Laurens and a member of Atonement Lutheran Church.

Surviving are a son, James Stanley Pitts of Kings Mountain, N.C.; a
daughter, Mavis Pitts Willis of Martin, Ga.; four grandchildren; a
great-granddaughter; her former husband, James Reeder Pitts of
Clarksville, Va.
