John Anderson was born on August 8th, 1849 in Near Little Mountain, Newberry County, South Carolina.1  He had a brother named George Middleton.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 86 on September 26th, 1935 in Little Mountain, Newberry County, South Carolina.  He was buried in Mt. Tabor Lutheran Cemetery, Little Mountain, SC.1 1
