I. Florie was born on November 27th, 1913 in Saluda, South Carolina.1 She had a sister named Mary. She was the younger of the two children. She died at the age of 86 on March 24th, 2000. She was buried in Mt. Horeb Methodist Cemetery, Gilbert, South Carolina.1 1 General Notes

Florie Shealy
Gilbert - Services for Florie Jones Shealy, 86, wil be held at 4 p.m.
Sunday at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church with burial in the church
cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to
services. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at Caughman-Harman
Funeral Homes, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to Palmettos
Hospice.
Mrs. Shealy, wife of hte late James Thurmond Shealy, died Friday, March
24, 2000. Born in Saluda, she was the daughter of the late Walter and
Bessie Cockrell Jones. She was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist
Church and retired from Horseman Dolls.
Surviving are her daughter, Sandra S. Hobbs of Gilbert; sons, Jerry T.
Shealy of West Columbia, Wayne Shealy of Leesville; sisters, Sadie L.
Gillian of Irmo; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Shealy was preceded in death by a son,
James Herman Shealy; three grandchildren.
