RESEARCH NOTES:
since his name appears in Brut y Tywysogion as a patronymid for Cynfyn,
it is probably correct; however the earlier generations of his pedigree
show wide variations and are probably a late invention. [Ref: Stewart Baldwin

late sources list wife as Nest, daughter of Cadell ap Brochwel, king of
Powys, which is chronologically impossible, so this appears to be a late
invention designed to strengthen the claims of the descendants of Bleddyn
